What’s On at Cov Uni?

Spring is upon us and whilst the weather doesn’t feel much like Spring, there is a lot in store to keep you entertained around the Uni as we move through the last term.

Starting with the Coventry Conversations:

Friday 4th May (1pm): The Herbert plays host to a special Coventry City Football Club event in which the fans have the chance to meet CCFC chief-executive after an unsuccessful 2011-2012 season in which Coventry are relegated.

Wednesday 9th May is a big one. Coventry University ( GSG22- 2.00pm) are hosting an exciting ‘Sky News Mini Conference’ in which the very well known Sky News Special Correspondent, Alex Crawford will be talking.

Thursday 10th May (ETG34- 1pm): Phil Riley, the CEO of Orion is coming to talk about the re-branding of Mercia and a few other local radio stations.

Friday 11th May: The Herbert hosts the second CCFC talk, this time two players from the CCFC 1987 FA Cup winning team come to talk- Micky Gynn and Dave Bennett.

Thursday 17th May (ETG34- 1pm): Brody Swain from Touch FM is coming to give a talk.

Keep an eye out around the Campus for everything that is going on with the Coventry Conversations, there is usually one every Thursday afternoon and they attract big names.

Moving on to other general events around Campus, the beginning of June onward, the Art and Design students will be having Degree Shows to showcase their work for the year so if you are interested in what has been done this go, go along and have a look.

And of course, June 9th is the Coventry Car day. It promises to be a great event and a fun filled day of talks, Q&As, car displays with 70+ cars spread around the University Square and around the HUB. Come along and celebrate Coventry’s historic link with the Car industry.
