DEBBIE ISITT’S latest creation ‘Nativity’ has its nationwide premiere on the 27th of November and to mark the occasion the Coventry born filmmaker is allowing the public to get a behind the scenes look at the making of the film.
The event has the slogan “Made in Coventry” considering the film was set in and shot in the city. It will give the public the chance to see and hear how the film was made, see some of the original costumes, rare scripts from the movie and inside scoop from behind the scenes.
Coventry University will be the hosting the event, which will be showcasing one of its best-known graduates. Current students will be coordinating the event, student organizer Catherine Cuello spoke about the building anticipation as the event fast approaches: “It will be a lively night full of emotions and excitement. We believe the exhibition will be very appealing and inspire those wanting to pursue a career in cinema. ‘Nativity’ is a wonderful achievement for Coventry and especially for all of those studying and wanting to get into the media industry.”
She added: “As a Coventry Student myself, it is an honor to have been part of this project and having had the opportunity to work alongside such hardworking people.”
On Tuesday the 24th Ellen Terry Foyer will host the drinks and canapé affair with the Lord Mayor of Coventry giving an opening speech before Debbie talks about the making of Nativity.
The exhibition and talk is part of a week of Coventry Conversations to coincide with graduation. The week includes Dragons den presenter Evan Davis who is receiving a honourary degree in recognition for his work in financial journalism.
