Profile: Murali Krishnan – The corruption in cricket

MURALI KRISHNAN tackles fixing, betting and doping in cricket in the Humber lecture theatre at 2pm writes Gary Barnes.

A respected journalist who currently works for Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), Krishnan specialises in investigating security issues and corruption. He worked his way up to IANS by working for various newspapers and magazines including the Indian Express, The Sunday Observer, The Telegraph, India Today and Outlook. He is also a regular contributor on German, Australian and British radio.

Krishnan focuses a lot of his attention on the cricket corruption in India of 2000, where he named and shamed four Indian cricketers, Krishnan still keeps a lot of his work related to this as well as keeping a keen eye peeled for any unusual activity in the world of sport.
