NIB: CSAD opens its doors to offer free summer classes

COURTESY OF funding from the Higgs Charity, Coventry University’s School of Art and Design will be running a series of free ‘taster courses’ for the general public this summer in the Ellen Terry and Graham Sutherland buildings.

Commencing on Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 12 noon, the classes on offer include fine art, graphics, fashion, new media, journalism, advertising, photography, drama, dance and music, and all will be taught by experts from that field.

Professor Jill Journeaux, Dean of CSAD, said:  “We are delighted to welcome the public, young and old, into our School.  Art and media work is best when engaged with the community and we are delighted to have sponsorship from the Higgs Charity for this exciting opportunity.”

Anyone interested in taking part in the taster sessions should email events@coventry.ac.uk with their contact details and the activity they are interested in attending. Details, including directions and times will be sent at a later date.  Classes are open to children aged 15 years and over, and adults, too.
