COVENTRY SCHOOL of Art and Design’s end of year degree shows are always highly anticipated by the staff and students of Coventry University, and this year is set to be no different, with the culmination of students’ undergraduate degree work set to be put on public display over the coming weeks and months.
As always, the subject areas covered by the degree shows will be diverse, ranging from scripted performances to revolutionary concepts in automotive and industrial design. A number of these projects have already been profiled on CU Today, with many students revealing that they are in the concluding stages of production.
The 2009 festival will commence on Tuesday, April 28th, when a number of specially invited guests will make their way to the Ellen Terry Building, and during their time there, students from Performing Arts will take centre stage to showcase their creative talents with a recital.
As always, degree show events throughout the School are open to students and the general public at the following venues:
- Media & Communication – Ellen Terry Building – Thursday, 28th May, 10am – 4pm, and Friday 29th May, 10am-8pm
- Design & Visual Arts – Graham Sutherland & Maurice Foss Building – Saturday, 30th May – Thursday 4th June, 10am – 5pm;
