A NUMBER of new paintings by Craig Barber, a lecturer on the Foundation, Fine Art and Illustration courses at Coventry University are currently on show at the Francis Kyle Gallery in Mayfair, London.
This is Barber’s first one-person exhibition at the gallery having already had his work represented by Francis Kyle on a number of occasions since 2005.
Barber’s current paintings have been created to contest the notions relating to both time and memory. Images painted by Barber are fixed in a time between construction and collapse, with colours often left as swatches painted to one side of the canvas.
The exhibition commenced on February 10th and will run until the 10th March, 2009 at Francis Kyle Gallery, 9 Maddox Street, London.
