DRAGONS DEN and Bottom Line presenter Evan Davis is to be awarded an honorary degree by Coventry University for his services to financial journalism.
In November he’ll receive an honorary doctorate of business administration among Coventry University graduates.
Evan Davis has been the BBC’s economic editor since 2001 and has been responsible for economic developments throughout the corporation for both TV and radio.
Evan Davis took up his presenting role on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme in April 2008. He also presents a weekly business discussion programme, “The Bottom Line”.
Professor Madeleine Atkins, Vice Chancellor at Coventry University said:
“I am delighted that Evan has accepted our offer of an Honorary DBA. His contribution to financial journalism and the way he continues to make the most complicated issues accessible has not only made him a household name but also a respected authority on his subject.”
Evan Davis is scheduled to speak at Coventry Conversations on the 23rd of November on a talk entitled ‘Into the Dragons den and out of the recession’
